1. Navigation scheme-a plan which determines how the Web pages relate to each other
Hierarchical navigation scheme- pages arranged from top to bottom
Top-level page- home page (top level of structure)
Parent-Child relationship- a page connected to the one below
Peer-to-peer relationship- this is two or more child pages with the same parent
Linear navigation scheme- every page exists at the same level in the scheme
Random-access navigation scheme- Pages that are not organized in any order,and are linked randomly to each other.
4. Similarities and differences between hierarchical and linear navigation scheme:
-easy site overview
-skip pages that do not interest you
-freedom from not being overwhelmed from unwanted info
-keeping track of where you are
-single home page you access first
-access each page in a specific order
-usually used on cooking sites for recipes
